FMF is extremely well known for its high quality exhaust systems and performance parts for Motocross and Off-Road racing. But don’t overlook the fact that FMF is vying to also become one of the leading performance exhaust makers for street bikes. FMF continues to evolve and to become a leader in street exhaust systems, a segment that needs to stand on its own in your dealership.
The primary performance weapon in the FMF street arsenal is the PowerCore S street slip-on. PowerCore S mufflers are computer designed, then dyno and rider tested for every application. These mufflers have a square, perforated stainless steel inner core, which provides optimum flow and an authoritative sound thanks to FMF’s Hi-Flo technology. The oval to round design provides optimum silencer volume combined with that exclusive Hi-Flo square core to produce its own unique sound and substantial power gains over standard systems. FMF’s exclusive cross weave, multi-element muffler packing provides longevity and maximum sound disbursement. A modular end cap allows for some ‘on the fly’ tuneability and sound modification. Plus, custom ‘FMF spec’ removable Allen head bolts in the front cap make re-packing maintenance simple. No rivets to drill out and replace, as is true of all FMF exhausts–very user friendly! Now available as the MotoGP Street Pipe!
FMF recently finished totally new development of a performance slip-on exhaust for the 2006 Suzuki GSX-R 600/750; this thing is gnarly and already installed on Icon Clothing and Superbikers TV star Jason Britton’s new bike. FMF continues to demonstrate versatility in approach which is exemplified with this new exhaust–MotoGP styling, approximately 10 lbs lighter than stock, a pleasing aftermarket sound, and very aggressive look. Other applications like the new Kawasaki Ninja 650 2006 are available now too.
FMF doesn’t just talk street either, as with all their products, they race and test with top riders. As a sponsor of the Corona Extra Team, FMF toured the AMA Superbike circuit as a test bed for development of products for their sportbike customers. FMF has been involved with Freestyle MX since the beginning with riders such as Brian Deegan, Tommy Clowers, and Seth Enslow. Street Freestyle is the cutting edge in extreme motorcycling on pavement and FMF thought it proper to take on some of the most well known athletes in this segment and add it to its roster. For 2006 FMF sponsored the rising sport of Street Freestyle/Stunt with Jason Britton of Icon fame and Kane Friesen, better known as KaneOne. Jason Britton has already been flying the oval for the 2006 Freestyle/Stunt season. Equipped with his new PowerCore S Stunt Can Britton walked away with the longest Stoppie, going a massive 468 feet riding the front tire, at the recent 2006 Stunt Wars event (out of 400+ competitors).
KaneOne has already been using FMF’s new PowerCore S STUNT Street mufflers in all upcoming and future exhibitions and competitions, and he’s already developed some truly nasty and original new tricks as a result. FMF’s ‘new for 2006’ Stunt Cans were developed with the assistance of these two very capable and professional riders. The mufflers still feature FMF’s patented square core internals and the unique oval to round shape but are shorter and more aggressive to satisfy the needs of this riding segment or any rider wishing to make a statement!
